Beautiful deep red colour with purple border. Red and black fruits (and something of apple?, curious in a red wine), toastings, mineral tones of graphite and lightly salted. Fruit-bearing mouth with good tannin and acidity. Floral reminders. One but: initially it proves to be flat and with something of volatile, truly it does lack of oxygenation...

Just opened, this wine has an expressive nose. Intense and refined, with vegetable notes which disappear with further airing. The accent then shifts on to the mineral notes, balsam and the Mediterranean herbs (which, as with the noble wood, evolve more as the temperature rises), which gives it a surprising Mediterranean character. It also reminds me of a few good Tódanos which I have had. The mouth shows high-quality mature tannins, with a good balance between the ripe fruit, the wood and the acidity, which gives it the freshness that makes it easily drunk. A long and persistent aftertaste in which the mineral character reappears. A great wine, balanced and subtle, easily drunk and replete. At Christmas, it will be a very exciting wine.

Tasted blind. Intense nose: black fruit, notes of flowers and balsam. A vegetable backdrop (olives). The mouth is very tasty and long. Excellent acidity and powerful retronasal with a reappearance of the fruit. Should improve with time.

Black cherry with medium-high opacity and a purple edge. Medium-high intensity on the nose, opens very fruity (red fruit) and with a hint of flowers. This time, I though it was more mineral than on other occasions, with touches of Mediterranean forest. After a while, the spices appear, together with a hint of chocolate, with a good balance at all times and not too much of a predominance of the alcohol. The mouth is fresh, with good acidity and easily drunk. The finish is slightly bitter and pleasantly astringent. Well-balanced, with a reappearance of the mineral notes. Should improve in the bottle.

Opaque black cherry red with purple highlights and edge. It stains the glass. Dense legs. With glass still, it offers notes of the ageing, basically tertiary aromas with gentle hints of coffee deposits, fine wood, forest floor and a touch of balsam. When it is moved, it reveals the fruit, both red and black, minerals (which then reappear in the retronasal), perhaps a hint of cocoa, spice and aromatic herbs. I would call it a Mediterranean wine. The mouth is light, pleasant, with tannins that are sweet and attractive. It is fleshy, with a slightly bitter finish and good acidity. Notable persistence. The wine mutates with airing and it needs to be held down by the temperature. In my opinion, ideally it should be served at 16-17º. Can be drunk now but I imagine it will improve in the bottle.

This wine was decanted an hour before drinking. Very intense and aromatic nose, floral, impressive expressiveness. The mouth is very tasty, fresh, with good acidity which takes the weight off its 14º. A persistent aftertaste, which leaves an excellent memory of the wine. Retails at around €20. A great wine with lots of fruit and well made. The ageing of the wood is not noticeable. Congratulations, Pedro Aibar.

Not easy to write much more than has already been said. Overall, I thought it was very elegant on the nose, tasty in the mouth and very balanced. Along the lines of the wines I enjoy of late because it is not a wine only for tasting, but also for enjoying.

Presently in good condition, although it still needs bottle. The fruit points towards victory but the notes of the ageing are still present. Excellent mouth, with tannins that are still a little harsh but which are beginning to sweeten. Good body and structure, good acidity and persistence.
