Deep amber gold with a touch of olive green at the rim. The nose showed ripe quince and apricot. A luscious sweetness pf peach and apricot, a vibrant thread of bitter acidity runs all the way through to the very long, almost dry (and with a hint of marmalade) finish. When will the acidity lessen for the sweetness to really shine? Another 20 years? Still, it was a hugely impressive wine that is giving a lot of pleasure.
