The DO Utiel-Requena wants your attendance on 26June!
Your attendance on the evening of 26 June is requested by the CRDO Utiel-Requena, governing body of the wine area. They have teamed up with ¨Social Security¨, a well known pop/rock band to film a video promoting the wine of the area.
The video will be shot in the square surrounding the CRDO HQ, the Bodega Redonda at 7.30pm in Utiel and it is hoped thousands of people will attend to be included in a ¨lip-dub flash mob¨ recording. The song being used is their well known hit ¨quiero tener tu presencia¨. Vicente Perez, President of the DO said ¨We have sought an innovative formula in the wine sector for the involvement of the people of the region and all people who wish to support our wines. We hope to make a big impact and we hope wine as a key social element in our tradition will bring many people together¨.
The DO uses social media and the network a great deal and has its own blog, and groups on Facebook and Twitter and Tuenti as well as appearing in other wine and gastronomy sites on the internet.
It is also permitted to make your own video, meeting certain criteria which appear on the DO website such as using the track as background. These have to be submitted to the DO over the summer. More details at http://www.utielrequena.blogspot.com
