Jerez: seguimos siendo los primeros muy a pesar de Burdeos, Borgoña, Ródano...Barolo o Morellino di Scansano, etc

The best-value wine in the world, of course, is Sherry. Image problems have dogged Sherry for years, but its problem is our gain. The green shoots of Sherry's recovery are linked to the release of unfiltered "en rama" Sherries and the tapas bar revolution, with mouthwatering finos and manzanillas gaining most of the plaudits. Look for the names of Hidalgo, Fernando de Castilla, Sanchez Romate and Gonzalez Byass, as well as great-value supermarket own-label Sherries from Marks & Spencer and Waitrose.
