After a tough day at the office, I headed to the gym for a workout involving legs, core training and bike. After my shower, I promised myself a decent bottle of wine so once the pasta and chicken was cooked, I opened one of these. Double decanted just before drinking.

A medium strawberry red with a pale pink rim. Initially mineral tight black plum with a hint of marzipan. No brett and after 15 minutes white pepper and wild herbs make a shy appearance. My first sip reveals a slightly sweet entry, the taut acidity takes a couple of seconds to kick in. When it does, it carries the light red fruits that are elegant in texture. A surprisingly enjoyable finish that has a very decent length. Drinkable now and will improve/hold for a few years.
