Opaque black cherry with a purplish edge. Intense nose. An initial whiff of nail varnish, on opening (some 3 hours after decanting) very fruity (with notes of ripe black fruit), hints of minerals and at the end of the dinner, a touch of cocoa and tobacco leaf. The mouth is powerful, with sweet tannins, no edges, attractive, very oily and with an interesting aftertaste of acidic fruit. Very interesting.
