Double decanted 30 minutes in advance. This Cotes du Rhone is 13.5% and it appears as a dark cherry red. Clean red fruits with a touch of cherry kirsch and a little herb/dry earth on the nose. Powerful yet ripe tannins mingle easily with the fresh tasting red cherries. The silky mid palate prickles a little with acidity and a tight raspberry finish is sufficiently long to impress at this price level. A well-bred red wine and worth the money. 90/100.

It paired beautifully with the Greek Cypriot stuffed vine leaf dish.
