Full bodied , black cherry colour fadeing to garnet at the edge. Long, slow, fat legs.

Pleasant nose with lots of notes from the crianza, leather, smoke, spices, menthol, coffee, liquorice with balsamic notes. (When tasted later that evening the full range of mature black fruit had emerged, blackcurrant, blueberry, blackberry.)

In the mouth toasty notes, well-structured and balanced wine with a lively acidity, mountain scrub, menthol, leather, and a long finish with a mineral note. One to watch!
