Re: Is there a "Spanish palate" ?
Ver mensaje de JaimeJJamie,
a fair point. And a huge generalisation to talk in these terms.
Re: Is there a "Spanish palate" ?
Ver mensaje de joseI think your point about the embracing of new oak is a backlash against the poorly made wines in the old style is a very good one.
As you know I'm pretty tolerant of oak myself! ;-)
You're really oak tolerant...
Ver mensaje de RayQBut your rant about PdC makes me see a little light of hope! ;))))

Jose
Re: Is there a "Spanish palate" ?
Ver mensaje de RayQIs not a generalisation. The reality is that most of participants of the spanish forum are from Levante and they use to drink this kind of concentrated wines with a lot of everything. I need some acidity and lightness in my perfect "tinto" as the burgundy lover I am.
And I´m not alone...
Re: Is there a "Spanish palate" ?
Ver mensaje de JaimeJJamie,
The generalisation I am referring to is mine not yours.
So... is there a Levantinos palate? ;) (v)
