Priorat article from The LA Times
Re: Priorat wines
Ver mensaje de RayQIn the 20 euro range i think embruix by vall llach is good also there is a small producer named celler cecilio who produces a wonderful red called
l espil. if u want to splurge try dolfi fantastic wine and worth the price...i havent tried clos mogador or the other high end wines so i really cant recommend one...my limit on priorat wines is 65-80 euros
Re: This is really about one’s taste...
Ver mensaje de suikoWithout question California is in a league of its own.
There are some very enjoyable wines made there.
The current dollar weakness makes them somewhat more attractive.
Re: This is really about one’s taste...
Ver mensaje de suikoIt’s about finding an oasis of value in a desert of overpricing though, isn’t it?
Re: This is really about one’s taste...
Ver mensaje de calicabYes, you are right. It’s difficult to find Californian wines here, and if so, they are pretty expensive.
By the way, thank you very much for the article, I enjoyed it a lot.
