Milmanda 2002 is a barrel fermented Chardonnay from Torres. Color: medium golden straw. Nose: honey, mature fruits, and camomile. Taste: full bodied with good structure and power that is kept in balance by ideal, integrated acidity, and a flavor profile similar to its nose with added citrus lacing. For me the only thing that prevents Milmanda from being a first-rate, complex Chardonnay is the oak on the finish that makes what might otherwise be some interesting grapefruit zest notes turn bitter. Will this age?
