Double decanted about five hours ahead, but it was surprisingly drinkable

Double decanted about five hours ahead, but it was surprisingly drinkable when first poured. A very dark cherry red, the nose was fairly closed to me but I did find some hints of freshly ground coffee and dark chocolate. The opulent fruit was supported by fine and ripe tannins. Good acidity and a long length ensured that this provided pleasure to me and everybody at the table. I had first tried this wine nine months ago and I have found that I like it a lot! My red WOTN.
