Rich amber with a hint of green grass on the rim. I detected marzipan, tobacco, nut, coffee and caramel on the nose. The concentration on the palate is impressive, with crème caramel and a surprisingly semi-sweet length. Complex, fresh and from an excellent vintage. Half way into the palate ‘show’, it turns dry and finishes with a dry apricot/peach finish.
