Roy had chosen to bring this as a highly unusual end to the proceedings. The bottle is shaped like the sail of a ship and comes in its own presentation box. It is a blend of Colheitas from 1900 and 1937 to the 1950’s and blended by a Seattle importer.
Visually, it was terracotta and light brown. The nose smelled like sea salt, dry and very nutty. When I first tasted it, I remarked that it tasted like a ripe Madeira, as I don’t really warm to the dry examples. Balanced acidity and showing a nutty complexity with a long finish. I liked it!
