A very rich gold appearance, still bright with a hint of green at the rim. The nose talked to me in terms of fresh marzipan, a little nut and white flowers like honeysuckle. Medium sweet initially, the sweetness and acidity then seem to explode on the palate for several seconds until the acidity becomes the victor. Very surprisingly, it shows a bone dry finish, and I asked myself if this wine will ever taste sweeter. If I had not known the age of the wine, I would have guessed at no more than 20 years old. Incredible!
