This is a vin doux natural, with brandy being added to the wine during fermentation to halt it and retain sweetness. 100% Grenache, 16.5% and bottled in 2001. A rich strawberry red with a slightly browning rim. The nose shows walnuts with semi sweet syrup. A palate of liquid figs shows a sweet but not cloying length and a subtly dusty finish.
