Impressive opaque black cherry colour, long, slow glycerinous legs.

Expressive nose with green oak, fresh red fruits (raspberry) and mature black fruits, balsamic notes and liquorice, herby.

In the mouth juicy, fruit gum acidity, lactic notes, sweet spice with long finish but lacking time in bottle and needing aeration.

(Retasted 36 hours later this had opened out beautifully. The nose displayed much more of the fruit,-blackberry,blackcurrant, blueberry- the acidity and round tannins were perfectly in balance, the fruit jammy. The coffee and sweet spice notes -vanilla- were much more prominent.) Will need decanting a while when released onto the market but a wine with long ageing potential!
