A tawny with indicaction of age, matured in old seasoned casks (pipes) of 650 litres in V. Gaia. It shows the year of bottling (2017). Once open bottle, oxidation losing fruit or delicacy. Served and drunk chilled, not decanting.

APPEARANCE

The wine is clear, deep brown with red-copper hues. Topped cork, gin bottle.

AROMA

The wine is clean, pronunced, with oxidative character, red fruit, marmalade, nutty aromas, caramel and liquorice. Developed in bottle, delicate hints of honey and nuts.

PALATE

The wine shows High and some young alcohol, with medium+ acidity, off dry, and soft medium tannins. The alcohol is not burning. The wine has a very good quality and balance betwwen flavours, and sugar-acid, tannins-alcohol, but it could be develop itself a bit more. Some medium + flavours in  intensity, nuts, caramel, orange peel, bitter almonds, liquorice, leather. All are flavours tertiary by oxidation. Long finish with high quality of silky fruit (tangerine, bitter orange, orange marmalade). the complexity is high, and for this the wine is very good in quality, high priced, and it has some potential for ageing 1 year more, but it is not its tawny concept.

PAIRING

The wine match with classic lemon cake and vanilla ice cream. Served chilled 10ºC in summer coast (MALAGA city).
