Decanted one hour previously. Intense nose, with lots of black fruit, balsam, with a clear presence of the toast of the oak, which tends to disappear with airing but is still there. The mouth is very structured, has good acidity and stands out above all thanks to its aftertaste. It is very long, with hints of ripe fruit but with a presence of the oak still to be integrated. Still doubtful as to whether or not Mariano has gone too far with the ageing of this wine in new oak because it is still too present and I haven’t noticed any change in that respect over the last ten months. It needs more time to see if the oak finally integrates. Even so, it is still a modern wine.
