Sadly you are absolutely right Ray.

Fortunately there are lots of wines of frankly just as good quality and in some cases with better characteristics to buy and enjoy over the next few years without the silly price tags.

I dont object to growers getting a fair price for their goods, that is the essence of the market and reward for developing quality, but as we all know a lot of Bordeaux wines are trading rather more on past reputations!
