Ms. Mariann Fischer-Boel, still keeps focusing her project of reform of the OCM of the wine in the uprooting of vineyards. She believes that grubbing-up around 400,000 of the current 3.4 million hectares of vines in the EU would get rid of surplus production and restore market balance. It seems that quite a big amount of these 400,000 hectares will be from Spain. The general opinion is that this hardly will help to solve the crisis…. What do you think?

Can they be forced to remove vines or will they just not get subsidies ?

Ver mensaje de RayQWell it seems that it will be not compulsory and that people who uproot their vines will receive a subside.... but it must be a commitment to remove at least that surface.... In the case of Spain it seems that La Mancha could be the main target of the uprooting... but we still do not know how the removal will be shared between the different producer countries....
