Ver mensaje de WaltZalenskiAs you say Walt a fairly balanced account.
I also subscribe to a view of the world where people are neither Gods nor demons.
Her views on Mr. Rolland could be applied to herself and Robert Parker etc..
It’s good to have these people, the mistake is to believe they are all knowing.
Re: Jancis (mostly) Praises Rolland - Pans Mondovino
Ver mensaje de rayolI agree with you. Although Jancis Robinson has voiced some traditional views about Médoc wines, and drew great applause in some quarters for her recent shots at Chateau Pavie, she is not what radical traditionsalists want her to be. Indeed, in some ways, she made a name for herself for being among the least traditional of the major British wine writers. She has always been eager to survey and promote a wide variety of ";New World"; wines. She even has praised some California ";cult"; Cabernets. In Spain, she admires the wines of Priorat... also the 2001 Anima Negra.

Ver mensaje de WaltZalenskiVery nice article, thanks Walt! ... it’s always good to have balanced opinions, well written, argumented and exposed.
