The most important thing you have to know about Prima is that it is fresh, exhuberant, inexpensive and YOU don’t get any! ;)
As I said, it is my understanding that Prima is just for the export market, and perhaps even further limited to Japan and the US. The wine is 100% Tinto de Toro and my understanding is that it tends to be from sandier Maurodos plots and perhaps some purchased grapes. I believe the wine was just removed from barrels with the last week or two.
I’m very excited to have a wine made by Mariano Garcia at vin ordinaire prices.
