On opening quite a heady high toned nose. Clear light ruby red colour right to the rim. Black and red fruits with lots of spice and very obvious garrique. A slight roasted element possibly from ripe grenache and a delicious sweetness on the finish(though a touch firm -showing its youth)
With more time and food this improved a lot, the ’heady’ alcohol fading a little and more floral notes coming to the fore. Lovely typical C9.
