On the nose this is more like Rioja than Ribera. Indeed on the nose it seems quite "traditional" and older than 6 years. Some lifted notes and farmyardy aromas (yum).
On the palate it is well balanced nice clean red and black fruit. Long clean finish. Reminds me of the 98 Haciendo Monasterio. I suspect that lovers of Musar and old style Rioja would like this relatively new Ribera. My first taste of this and it wasn’t what I was expecting.
