Vangelis

This wine is entirely produced from the Greek grape variety of Malagousia, which was saved from extinction due to the efforts of Vangelis Gerovassiliou in Thessalonika, northern Greece.

Vinification

Following skin contact in cold, vinification is carried out in stainless steel tanks at 18 °C, while some is vinified in French oak barrels.

The wine is left with its lees for a number of months to gain structure and body.

Tasting -ad hoc-

Pale lemon green colour, bright and with legs on glass.

The pronounced aroma shows matured fruit such as pear, mango, lime and citrus. Some of orange peel. Young evolution. Some green notes (asparragus, capsicum).

On the palate shows some RS (off-dry), medium+ acidity, medium alcohol and crispy texture and some cream notes (Slightly). Light body.

Medium+ intensity, with lemon peel notes enhance the appealing mouthfeel. It has a well-balanced medium+ finish showing a medium potential for further aging because of youthful.

Best served at 10 °C.

Matching

Best Turbot low temperature, lime, chili and Asian stew with crocant butter bread.
