Trenel Morgon Côte du Py 2015

Very deep black cherry colour with long legs. Initially the nose had hints of marc, and as it developed black fruit, lightly rustic, then sloes.

In the mouth it seemed salty rather than fruity, with a long very dry finish. Lot of structure but a lean wine with grip. (Once the bottle had been open for several hours the fruit evolved, bitter cherry but not Morello, and the saltiness had become much more mineral.) For me this is a wine to lay down. Very good potential.
