Schott Zwiesel Enoteca Rioja -
Those of you in the EU may know these glasses, but there seems to be only one store in the entire US that has them. I recenty bought a set and they are terrific. 50% larger than the Riedel Vinum Tempranillo glass, thinner, lighter, no lead, and less likely to break.
I am a Riedel-addict ;-) except for the sparkling wines that I prefer Spigelau… I have tried seen several Schott but I do not know if I have tried this “Enoteca” glasses you have mentioned… Schott produces really high-standard products but INMO Riedel and Spigelau are far better… (and also, far expensive).
Focussing on these two competing glasses specifically designed for Tempranillo-based wines (SZ Enoteca Rioja v. Reidel Vinum Tempranillo), I think you will find that Schott Zwiesel far outshines Reidel. Really there is no comparison, which explains my enthusiasm....
Thanks Walt must check them out !
