Opening wine as beer...
Opening wine as beer...
Ver mensaje de joseI’ve just finished the last sip of a bottle of Pierre Fricks’ muscat. I think that my face looks still astonished when I’ve found a usual beer closing and no cork 8-o C’mon dude, store the corkscrew and look for beer-opener... Is it usual? Is it for short term consuming wines?Regards,Jose
Too much for a wine ’taliban’
Ver mensaje de jose... I am a strong cork defender... however I can accept in some specific situations other devices like screw caps... but this kind of openers... no!!! :-P
I think it’s ok for some kind of wines...
Ver mensaje de Paco HigónLike young wines or at least wines with no ageing intention. Anyway, I’m still thinking about how should be served a wine with this closing in a restaurant.

Jose
Na-na-na... :pppp
Ver mensaje de Paco HigónBut well, speaking seriously. How would be explained in sommelier schools this kind of caps?

Jose
Re: Na-na-na... :pppp
Ver mensaje de joseWell, as someone said in the Spanish side during second fermentation this kind of cap is used with cavas... I do not know the reason... but probably is not a bad option for short-life wines....
Cheers!
