Double decanted 5 ½ hours before tasting, I had placed this in the ice

Double decanted 5 ½ hours before tasting, I had placed this in the ice bucket for a while to cool it down. When I first poured it, the temperature was a few degrees too cool. With air time, it showed noticeably better. A bright strawberry red with a pale pink rim. Some hazelnut and dry dates mixed with a hint of aniseed on the nose. Slightly spirity, the classy length of dates and dried figs was in abundance. Still youthful, this was not showing as well as other bottles I have drunk and it was probably due to the temperature. At the end of the meal, it was better. Still an excellent Port and I would happily drink this again.
