November/10 (or so...) wines...

Many days... what the hell... weeks without wine! So just a bunch of them sipped when I was able to...

- Viña Cubillo. López de Heredia. DOC Rioja (9.19 EUR)
Sideshow Bob. Maybe disappointing. It improves when paired with food, then it goes to a good supporting actor.

- Gatinois Brut Millesimé Grand Cru 2002
Lullaby. Silky, soft, caressing. Wonderful sighing.

- Patio Joven 2009. Samuel Cano Enológica, S.L. Vino Tinto de Mesa.
Wild herbaceous character. Too much for me, so I decide wait some hours. Then no trace of that herbaceous wildness and it's the epithome of kindness, like preceding bottles. Soft, kind and grape character. Nice young wine, but I miss a nudge of acidity.

- Domaine Bernard Baudry 2006. AOC Chinon (12-13 EUR)
Rustic. It begins with a dirty nose. Decanting would have been a good idea for this wine. Time after animal smell goes away and appear scrubland herbs, anis-seed, orange and lots of strawberries. Red wine by Doniene Gorrondona came to my mind.

- Carles Andreu Trepat 2008. Celler Carles Andreu, S.L. DO Conca de Barberà (9.4 EUR)
Hints of liquorice and red fruits. Spicy, savory. Beautiness and sensuality. Cozy. It makes you feel good. It gives you a breath.

Jose... that Gatinois.. is the Chetillons cuvee or the regular millesime?

As far as I remember Les Chetillons is a cuvée from Pierre Peter and not from Gatinois...
