Just to let you know that after a (too) long period of time we have a new and very interesting article written by Gerry Dawes about cava…. Don’t miss it!

Cheers!
Hi, I´m new in this forum. Thanks for recommending the article.
Very complete tasting, good article, and typical Gerry. Hope to read more from him at verema. I will comment some of my findings as well in this forum.
I visited the Cava region in November last year. I agree with Gerry that Agustí Torello is unique. I would like to mention the cava Huguet (Can Feixes)as well.
Guiri
Welcome Guiri… Do you know what Guiri means in Spanish?? ;-))) Anyway, Agustí Torello produces my favourite cavas…. from the “easy” Trepat rosé to the very expensive but magnificent Kripta….
Hi Paco and Jose, thank you both for welcoming me at Verema. To explain my name I am a Guiri living in Alicante. What do you think of the cavas made in Requena?
Guiri
No doubt, my choice is Dominio de la Vega Reserva Especial… however Carlota Suria Brut Nature from Pago de Tharsys is also a good option…
Cheers!!
