Wines for Thanksgiving

The Spanish side of the forum is discussing wine options for Thanksgiving. We normally drink Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling as we cook the food, then we may drink more Riesling or a Pinot Noir (or a nice Rioja) with the meal. I also have enjoyed roses as well. What do people like for wine on Thanksgiving on this side?
... it did not occur to me till you mentioned it that the Thanksgiving wines are being discussed in the Spanish side! ... I think that we’ll drink New Zeeland Sauvignon blanc while we cook (it probably is a ";cooking wine"; ;). And then for the dinner itself, as far as I know (i’ve been invited over my friends house) we are having Champagne Pol Roger, Leva Daniel’s, Allende, and ... who knows ...
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I am having a Thanksgiving celebration tomorrow already at work, where they fry the whole bird!!!! ... for me, a spaniard, it really is a memorable experience!
